I can’t believe it’s Monday again. This week has flown by and around here 2015 is turning into the year of the Knit-A-Long. I said in my last post that I wanted to join in and have more fun with my crafts and I am but I wasn’t expecting 3 to come along at once. Either way, I’m having fun and being productive and all are helping me stick to my Year of Making. The best bit of all of this is sharing my mistakes  design features with all of you.

I’m currently working on

1. Follow your Arrow KAL 2 by Ysolda Teague

Clue 1a is finished and unlike a lot of knitters, I’m only knitting one shawl. I’m using Woolmeise in blood red colour and I’m loving it. I can’t wait for the release of clue 2 later today!!! I’m trying to be a bit artistic with the photo so it’s still a mystery for anyone else who wants to join in.

2. Il Grande Favorito mini KAL with This is Knit.

The malabrigo finito and Fyberspates Cumulus are working really well together. The Cumulus is hiding the lavender of the plomo shade really well. I am currently trying to finish the rib on the body section. For those of you interested I followed the instructions on Cabled Sheep’s project page on Ravelry for the garter stitch front. I didn’t do the short rows at the back as the garter stitch pulls the front up slightly anyway. I did the smallest size and it is still slightly big for me. I will be basting the raglan increases on this jumper as the fabric is just so soft I think it’s needed. Keep your eye on the blog to see how that works out.

My hands are really starting to hurt now so I may need a break from large needles.  This jumper is so soft it will be like wearing a hug all day. My aim is to have this finished by the end of this week. I only really have the sleeves to go, so provided nothing too big happens this week this should be an FO by my next blog post.

3. Carol Feller is running a mini KAL, you can vote for the pattern here, I want to knit most of the leaders at the moment so I will be joining in this KAL soon. I have some Finito stashed for Talamh so I hope it wins!!

And then Kate Davies went and released Jazz Hands last week and the option of having nice mittens to match my hat is just so darn tempting! My snowflake has not been touched in the last week and I really didn’t see it growing until the Il Grande KAL is over. I’m still undecided about how to finish it. So I guess I’m going to mull it over. Did you join in any Knit or Crochet alongs yet this year? If so leave a link below and I’ll take a peek, it may add to my start-itius 🙂
