Hello and welcome to the podcast. Episode 4 is finally here, joining me at the cottage today is the wonderful Evin O’Keeffe, author of Bake Knit Sew and the award winning blog Evin OK. You will hear lots about craft, baked goods and find out about the magic behind the scenes of These Islands and Bake Knit Sew. I will also announce the winner of the wonderful WoollyWormhead prize from Episode 3.
It’s time for you to put the kettle on, grab your knitting and make yourself comfortable. Today’s show is a fun filled 40 minutes with a little giveaway thrown in at the end. So, come on and let’s meet the lovely Evin OK.
Evin started out blogging 9 years ago and today is a published author and founder of the publication company Anchor and Bee. In today’s episode you can find out where it all began and how Evin’s career has grown over time.
From knitting to sewing and embroidery, you can learn where Evin’s love of craft came from and how those beautiful photographs in Bake Knit Sew were staged. Evin also describes the journey from the idea of a Kickstarter campaign to the publication of Bake Knit Sew. There is some advice along the way and some interesting stories behind the collaboration of These Islands.
Evin is also sharing the love by offering the listeners and readers of Cottage Lover’s Notebook & Podcast a 10% discount on Bake Knit Sew patterns and These Islands patterns by Evin on Ravlery using the code CLN2016. We also have a copy of both books to give away but you will have to listen to find out how to win that fabulous prize.
If you want to catch up with Evin, you can find her on Ravelry, Instagram and Twitter as Freckled Past and her Facebook page is EvinOk. Her award winning blog is EvinOK.com and I’m slowly working my way through the Christmas Craft section over there!
