I called this my Mystery Cardigan (YOM Project 6) as I found a Celtic Knot pattern I liked that I worked into a chart. I then worked some of my super maths ability (aka excel) and the above cardigan is the result. I’m very proud of it, in fact I will knit this again with two solid colours in a light weight for summer. I might post the instructions for T’s cardigan if anyone is interested.
My next little FO this week was a sweet little bow for T to go with a gifted outfit. It’s a quick, easy crochet pattern which can be found here and is perfect for finishing it during naptime. I adapted the size for a baby by crocheting a chain long enough to go around T’s head and worked from there. The bow I worked with 5 less stitches than in the pattern.
My Arrow KAL is still going as I chose to do the Knit on border for clue 5. This shawl is pretty small and I hope it will grow a lot with blocking. So I may dig out my blocking wires and see if they help. I’m hoping to have this off the needles by Wednesday. I started clue 5 on Saturday and I still haven’t reached the halfway point eeep!
My other KAL Talamh is not working out for me, my gauge is all wrong and I just seem to be in a rut with it. I’m putting this in the naughty drawer for now and I’ll send on an update once my Arrow is off the needles.
I really do think that joining in the Year of Making is helping me to keep on top of my WIP’s and to get things off my needles. I just have to fight the urge to cast on something new until I have cast off something else. I’m also being more mindful of taking pictures and documenting what I’m doing, which is a challenge in itself. Also finding knitting time with a Little One is very difficult at the moment. There’s all types of exploring going on and I’m coming to the realisation that I’m getting old hee hee.
